We will aim to make this as easy for customers as possible by transferring any Credits balances and Direct Debit mandates. Until further notice, it would be helpful if all customers could continue to pay for their gas and electricity consumption in the way in which they had been previously paying HUB energy, before the appointment of E.ON Next and the Administrators.

All customers will be provided with a final bill which will cover the period from the most recent bill or statement issued by HUB energy, to the date that the SoLR took on the supply (13th August 2021). It is likely that these final bills will be issued by HUB energy acting through its Administrators, but this will be confirmed as soon as we are able.

To assist in the final billing process, please could you take an actual meter reading as soon as you are able and provide it to HUB energy via your usual method of communication.

HUB energy is ceasing to trade

HUB energy has ceased trading.

Ofgem has appointed E.ON Next to take on supplying HUB energy’s approximately 6,000 domestic customers and 9,000 non-domestic customers. This follows a competitive process run by Ofgem to get the best deal possible for customers.

E.ON Next is offering customers a competitive tariff. Outstanding credit balances, including money owed to both existing and former domestic and non-domestic customers of HUB energy, will also be honoured.

For customers supplied by HUB energy, energy supplies will continue as normal as they switch over to E.ON Next on 13 August 2021.

Customers of HUB energy will be contacted by E.ON over the coming days about the changes. If customers wish to switch supplier they can shop around, but are advised to wait until the transfer has been completed. Customers will not be charged exit fees if they decide to switch to another supplier.

The new supplier will be in touch with customers with direct debits to explain how to set up their account. Customers are advised not to cancel their direct debits as their new suppliers will aim to transfer these.

On 13 August 2021, Andrew Stone and Rick Harrison of Interpath Advisory were appointed Joint Administrators of Gas and Power Limited t/a HUB Energy (the ‘Company’).

The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Joint Administrators.
